Want to be more active as a family? Here are eight healthy activities to try!

1. Give kids toys that encourage physical activity, like balls and jump ropes
2. Encourage kids to join a sports team or try a new physical activity
3. Limit TV time and keep it out of a child’s bedroom
4. Facilitate a safe walk to and from school a few times a week
5. Take the stairs when possible
6. Walk around the block after a meal
7. Make a new house rule: no sitting still during TV commercials
8. Find time to spend together doing a fun activity, like a family fun day!
