Prevention is key to keeping kids safe from abuse. All parents can use some help when it comes to caring for kids, but this is especially true for parents without resources. Parenting is a 24/7 job, and when you add all the additional stress in our lives, people can get pushed to their limits. One of the best things you can do for a parent is to give him or her a break. 

• Have a kid exchange, where you take turns watching the kids to give each other a break. 
• Pay for a sitter so you can go out together. 

Get creative and find ways to support each other.
