DIY Dresser: Transform Secondhand Furniture with Paint! DIY Home Do-It-Yourself
I bought a $90 mahogany dresser at a resale shop last week and with a little effort, ended up with a stunning new dresser. Here’s how! 1) Clean the dresser and drawers and let them dry overnight. 2) Tape the mirror to protect it. 3) Prime the piece with regular latex primer. Let it dry overnight. 4) I used plain cream-colored latex wall paint that was leftover from another project. Apply two coats and rub the edges with a soft cloth before it dries to give that aged effect. 5) Apply a coat of clear wax. EASY!
