Spring Training Baseball Is Coming Soon (and There's Nothing Better!) Sports & Recreation
Now that the holidays are over I find myself counting down the days until spring training baseball starts. I love spring training. Every team in baseball believes this is their year to go to the World Series, and fans are excited and optimistic for baseball to start!
Spring training baseball is a reminder to me that spring is almost here. Spring training brings hope and faith that our baseball teams will go to the playoffs again and to the World Series. Every pitcher feels capable of winning 20 games or saving 40. Batters tee off on practice pitches and fantasize about hitting over .300. Outfielders fly across the grass on legs freshened by four months of winter rest and it’s the start of a new beginning. And every team has a record of zero wins and zero losses, with the brightest prospects for storming through the season toward the World Series. I love the hope and the excitement it brings to fans of all teams.
I am praying my Cubs get back to the World Series in 2020. Spring training reminds us all that summer is just around the corner and there nothing like sitting in beautiful Wrigley Field on a warm summer day.
