Today I want to share about one of my sons favorite park because it has a mini golf course. Woodland Trails Park in suburban Mount Prospect is a gem because it has a little 18 hole mini golf course tucked away in the back that man people don’t even know that is there.
Mini golf course are expensive but since this part of the park district it only 3 bucks to play here and most of the time there no one there so we can have it to ourselves. My kids love it because they can jump around from hole to hole and skip holes they don’t want to do, or play the same hole again and again as today we where the only ones at the mini golf for the entire hour we where at the mini golf course and they had a blast!
After playing mini golf we went to the playground. The playground at this park has three different playground equipment. There is a pirate ship for younger kids, an old school metal slide and an amazing sandbox
What we like about the sandbox at this park is that they have sand diggers and and awesome climber that has all these gadgets, levers and stuff to use in the sand.
This park also has these cute playhouses that look like old school dog houses. Honestly I though they were dog houses the first time we went to this park. My kids love playing in them pretending they are playing dog family. (Even more now that we have a dog of our own)
Also this park as a slide shaped like a whale. When my kids where younger they loved it but today they told me they were to big for it.
Also there are picnic tables under a large shady area when the kids get hot or need a snack. The bathrooms here are located right next door to the park at the pool. This park has two sets of swings including a set of tire swings.
This park does get busy at times in the summer because the park district camps use it. But they don’t stay long so you have to plan a trip here.
But if your kids love mini golf i would recommend this park because it the best deal in town then can make a day of it and goto the playground too.
