Our grandmothers knew that using mayonnaise in cakes is a genius way to make cakes extra moist. This cake is indeed moist, as well as decadent and delicious! (There's even a Miracle Whip cake recipe!)

Ingredients
- 2 cups flour (you can use gluten-free flour)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 cup water, lukewarm

- To lighten up this recipe, you can use Light or Fat-Free mayonnaise.
- To make this recipe gluten-free, use gluten-free flour.
- You can use a 13x9-inch baking pan, two round baking pans or a bundt pan for this recipe. Baking time will vary depending on the type of pan you choose.

Here's how to make it:
- Grease and flour a 13x9-inch baking pan, two round baking pans or a bundt pan.
- In a large bowl, mix together all the ingredients. Pour into the baking pan of choice.
- Bake in a preheated 350-degree F oven for approximately 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. (Cooking time will vary depending on type of pan used.)
- Allow cake to cool completely. Frost it with your favorite chocolate frosting and serve with vanilla ice cream, if desired.
