What makes this recipe so easy? It only has five ingredients and prep time takes only five minutes. Besides adding shredded cheese near the end of the cooking time, this is a “set it and forget it” recipe. You just add all the ingredients to your slow cooker and that’s it. • 1  bag (22 ounces) frozen hash browns
• 1 can (10 ounces) cream of chicken soup
• 1 cup (8 ounces) sour cream
• 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (divided)
• 3 tablespoons unsalted butter

• You can use any cheese you like for this recipe. Gruyere, Monterey Jack, Mexican blends, fontina or white cheddar are delicious.

Here’s how to make it:

1. Add all the ingredients except 1 cup of shredded cheddar to the slow cooker. Season with salt and pepper and mix well. Cook on low for 4 hours.
2. After 4 hours, add the remaining shredded cheddar. Cover and cook for another 20 minutes on low.
