Ingredients
- 1 unbaked pie crust
- apple juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup flour
- juice of 1/2 a lemon
- 8 tablespoons (1 stick) butter, sliced
Here's how to make it:
- Put an unbaked pie crust onto a baking sheet.
- Fill pie crust with apple juice. Pour in the vanilla extract.
- Whisk together the sugar and flour in a bowl. Sprinkle it over the apple juice. Do not stir.
- Squeeze in the juice of half a lemon.
- Top with sliced butter.
- Bake at 400 degrees F for 1 hour.
- Remove and refrigerate for at least six hours or overnight. Serve.
