If you regularly get facials, you have probably noticed an increase in vibrating tools being used during your treatment. Basically, these are electrically powered tools to promote both exfoliation of dead skin and then infusion of serums or creams for better hydration. If you are fan of these tools, and love skin care gadgets, the Labelle Ultrasonic Skin Spatula from Trophy Skin is for you. I tried it, and here's my take:
- It's incredibly easy and safe, since the spatula, while angled, is not the least bit sharp. And while the heated tool steams a bit as you're "scrubbing" your face, it's never hot.
- While I don't have a significant problem with blackheads, my 14-year-old son certainly does. So, we tested it on him a few times and yes, as promised, the ultrasonic vibrations seemed to help "shake out" the blackheads on and around his nose.
- I do think the flip side of the tool, which is used to help serums absorb better, also works. After regular use (three to four times a week), my skin looked significantly plumper and smoother.
- If you get regular facials, which totally add up, you'll absolutely get your money's worth here. It retails for $149.
My grade? An A.
