Today I was having a hard time and, unfortunately, took it out on my son. Yep. I accused him of not doing his chores when he clearly did them. I lost my patience, used a terrible tone and expected him to be perfect. 

He was mad. 

After coming to my senses and realizing how wrong I’d been, I wanted to make it up to him. So I turned the fiasco into a teaching moment, pointing out how we ALL take things out on each other, at times – especially those we love the most. 

He got it. 

Then we laughed our way to the mall. Isn’t it heartening to know that we always get the chance to make things right again?
