Spring Lake Park in Lincholshire, Illinois by Mike Prochaska
Another of my favorite parks is a park called Spring Lake Park in the Lincolnshire Illinois. We have been going there for years and I wanted to share it today as it one of the places you could drive right pass and not even know it there because it tucked down a side road in the busy suburbs.
It is located right behind golf course and it’s kind of tucked away in the woods. It turns out Lincolnshire, Il uses it as there public pool in the summer. We mostly go there in off season, before they clean it, so we can fish and hunt for frogs and explore. Plus there a nice walking trail around the lake to walk the dog. But don’t forget to bring your poop bags because there are none here.
I found this park. by mistake one day just driving around with the kids trying to find somewhere new to go and it kind of Hidden just down a side street. It is located at49 Oxford Dr
Lincolnshire, IL
what I love about this park is there is both a playground and a small beach area where the kids can look for frogs fish and explore nature. Every time we go here my son manages to catch a fish and frogs.
I also love that if you go with multiple children and some want to go play on the playground and the others wants to go explore the beach I can see them all from the picnic table which is located right in the middle between both the playground in the park.
The play ground has this awesome teeter totter for four kids. Each child
Has there own seat. Two kids on each side and they rock back and forth. My kids always try to send the kids sitting on the other side flying so there butt goes up in the air and everyone starts laughing. So if your looking for another great place to explore while doing your 1000 hours outside challenge we recommend spring lake park.
