You may remember the magical, whimsical film Mary Poppins from your childhood (or your children’s childhood!). In the film, Mary Poppins has a magic carpet bag that contains ANYthing one might need. To the Banks children in her care – and to the audience at home – the bag fuels the imagination and instills a sense of wonder. The one-of-a-kind nanny pulls large items out of her bag, such as a lamp, mirrors, a plant, hat stand and more.
Here in the real world, some of us may have a “Mary Poppins Bag” of our own. We can’t quite fit a lamp or hat stand in our bags, but we can fit a whole lot of other things!
