This morning, my son said he had a sore throat and was too sick to go to school. He didn’t seem sick, but was laying it on thick. At first, I wasn’t sure what to do, so I let my intuition guide me.
First, it said to let him express how sick he felt. Next, I gently told him that he seemed well enough to give school a try. Then intuition said to let him express his anger about having to go to school. I did all of the above, and soon his coat was on, his backpack was packed and he was smiling, ready and waiting for the school bus.
