I was just thinking the same thing, Donna John . Give me all the lemon, turmeric, garlic and paprika, in olive oil, LOL! YUM!!

Gosh! This looks great, Donna John ! If I can't have a vertical shawarma spit, the purpose of which was to self-baste all the layers, from the top down... this will do just fine!
With lemons costing close to $1 each, I think I'll probably zest them, then freeze the zest, for times when I just want a bit, to sprinkle atop a dish, prior to juicing them. Thanks for this!

We really enjoyed it. My husband ate the leftovers last night. Lemons are $1??? Crazy. They're four for a $1 here.
